Frequently Asked Questions
How do I install the plugin?
The Free plugin is not listed on WordPress.org yet. Once it is, installation is the usual Plugins → Add New → search for "FluidBlocks" → Install → Activate.
Which blocks are supported?
We currently support: Group, Columns, Column, Spacer, Heading, Paragraph, Image, Cover, Buttons, Button, List, and Media & Text. Responsive typography also works on any block with native typography support. Third-party blocks can be registered with a single PHP filter — see the developer API in the docs.
Where do I find the responsive controls in the editor?
Select any supported block — a responsive controls button will appear in the block toolbar above it. Click the button to open a popover with breakpoint tabs at the top and all available controls inside.
How do I install the Pro addon?
After purchasing, download the Pro plugin zip from your account. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → select the zip → Install → Activate. Then enter your license key in Settings → FluidBlocks → License.
Can I use custom breakpoint values?
Yes — in the free version too. Set the Mobile, Tablet, Desktop and XL pixel boundaries under Settings → FluidBlocks → Advanced → Breakpoints; the editor preview and the frontend CSS follow them immediately.
Does the plugin affect frontend performance?
Minimal impact. The plugin generates standard CSS media queries with no JavaScript on the frontend. Zero jQuery dependencies.
Is it compatible with my theme?
The plugin works with most block themes and classic themes that support the block editor. It generates standard CSS media queries that should work alongside most theme styles.
Does it use custom UI or native Gutenberg components?
The plugin is built with native Gutenberg components — ToggleGroupControl, SpacingSizesControl, PanelBody, Popover, and icons from the official @wordpress/icons package. This provides a familiar editing experience using the same component types as WordPress core.
